FOUR CAUSES from 2020
The Four Miler, which is organized by an all volunteer race committee, has a proud tradition of donating 100% of our proceeds to the UVa Breast Care Center. Thanks to your generous support, since 1983 we’ve been able to donate over $4 million to the Cancer Center.
This year, in addition to giving to the UVa Breast Care Center, we will also be donating our proceeds to three other worthy local organizations:
A. Legal Aid Justice Center, who on a daily basis, continues to intimately work on equity and justice issues right here in our community!
B. The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, who have been assisting local families in need for over 40 years!
C. Foxfield, who, under its newly reorganized direction, is not only opening their gates to this beautiful property for the Women’s race but will also be doing the same for the Men’s race later this fall. For the past four decades they have generously hosted the Four Miler on their beautiful property without ever charging us one cent!
We ask, if you feel so inclined to do so, to donate beyond the entry fee, like so many of you have kindly done in the past. We are so appreciative of your generous financial support, as you will be helping, especially during this unique pandemic, to make a difference for these four wonderful community organizations!
